AML & Compliance Officer - Transaction Monitoring
Role overview
Al Fardan Exchange, one of the premier remittance and foreign exchange houses in the UAE, is seeking a highly vigilant and detail-oriented AML & Compliance Officer to join our corporate headquarters. You will serve as a critical gatekeeper for our financial network, responsible for monitoring high-volume cross-border transactions, investigating suspicious activities, and ensuring absolute adherence to Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations and international AML/CFT laws. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, Accounting, or Business Administration. A recognized compliance certification such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is highly preferred. A minimum of 3 to 6 years of proven experience in transaction monitoring, KYC analysis, and AML compliance within a UAE exchange house, remittance company, or retail bank is strictly required. Deep expertise in navigating global sanctions screening tools and generating Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) is mandatory. Physical & Security Criteria: The role requires high mental stamina and sharp analytical focus to process large volumes of transactional data accurately under tight daily deadlines. Candidates must pass rigorous corporate background checks, possess a flawless police and regulatory history, and clear standard UAE financial employment credentialing. Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily monitoring and investigation of high-risk transactions across the branch network and digital platforms (AlfaPay); perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) on corporate and high-net-worth retail clients; screen remittances against OFAC, UN, and local watchlists; draft and escalate SARs to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU); and provide ongoing AML/KYC training to frontline branch staff.
