The University of Sharjah is seeking a highly published, visionary academic for the role of Assistant Professor within its dynamic College of Computing and Informatics. You will act as a core intellectual leader within our academic ecosystem, tasked with delivering world-class instruction to a diverse student body and executing high-impact, applied research initiatives in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph. D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant STEM discipline from an accredited, globally recognized university. You must have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in higher education instruction at the university level. A robust, demonstrable track record of securing competitive research grants and a deep portfolio of recent publications in Q1/Q2 ISI/Scopus-indexed computing journals is strictly required. Absolute fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic speaking skills are highly preferred. Physical & Security Criteria: The role requires continuous engagement across massive campus lecture halls, smart computing laboratories, and administrative boardrooms within University City. Candidates must pass rigorous state-level academic credential verifications, clear standard UAE employment background checks, and complete required visa medical screenings. Key Responsibilities: Deliver elite undergraduate and postgraduate lectures utilizing modern pedagogical tools, map and assess course learning outcomes (CLOs) to maintain strict CAA and ABET accreditation compliance, mentor student academic progression and senior technical projects, lead highly technical grant-funded research projects, author high-impact academic publications, and serve actively on departmental administrative committees.
