Working within the foundation research cluster, the successful candidate will help design AI methods capable of reasoning, verifying mathematical arguments, supporting collaborative problem formulation, and accelerating scientific discovery. The role combines theoretical research with practical experimentation. It offers exposure to faculty and researchers working across artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics, data science, and related disciplines. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal based on research progress and institutional requirements. Key Responsibilities * Conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, and mathematics. * Develop machine learning models that improve logical reasoning, mathematical discovery, and scientific problem-solving. * Explore reinforcement learning techniques for structured reasoning and sequential decision-making. * Contribute to formal verification research and automation using proof-assistant platforms. * Design and evaluate AI systems that assist researchers with collaboration, hypothesis development, and problem formulation. * Investigate large language models, multi-agent systems, or reinforcement learning methods for advanced reasoning tasks. * Implement research prototypes, computational experiments, algorithms, and evaluation frameworks. * Analyze experimental results and identify opportunities for methodological improvement. * Collaborate with professors, research scientists, students, and interdisciplinary academic teams. * Prepare research findings for technical reports, conference papers, journal publications, and academic presentations. * Maintain reproducible research workflows, well-organized code, and accurate experimental documentation. * Participate in seminars, project meetings, research discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities across the center.
