Role overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Junior Consultant – Emergency Medicine to join a leading private healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care, managing acute and critical cases, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergency medical conditions. • Lead and participate in the initial assessment, stabilization, and resuscitation of critically ill patients. • Manage trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, infectious, and other emergency presentations. • Perform and supervise emergency procedures within the scope of practice. • Coordinate patient admissions, referrals, transfers, and consultations with relevant specialties. • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and appropriate patient handover. • Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care. • Participate in emergency department protocols, quality improvement initiatives, audits, and patient safety activities. • Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and other clinical staff where required. • Maintain compliance with the facility's clinical policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Requirements • Medical degree ( MBBS or equivalent ) from a recognized institution. • Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent. • Relevant specialist/consultant-level experience in Emergency Medicine. • Western Qualified doctors are preferred. • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and resuscitation skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure emergency department environment.
