Major customers include renowned airports and airlines around the globe. Be part of our project execution team as a Mechanical Technician - Installation in Dubai, UAE. What are my responsibilities? Install and commission equipment according to the supervisor's instructions, fully complying with SOPs and Site Safety rules and regulations. Execute installation works, including reading drawings, setting out equipment datums, and alignment of equipment and steel structures. Able to adapt to install all equipment in Siemens BHS portfolio, and make minor modifications to mechanical equipment, support with testing and commissioning. Use of suitable PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures in order to ensure a safe working environment for self and others. Carries out periodical checks/maintenance inspections stated on the checklist. Assist other disciplines/teams in reaching the project goal. Takes charge of the tools required for the shift’s job task and ensures proper usage and maintenance. Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and takes appropriate precautions during working hours. Safety: Will be responsible/accountable for following occupational health, safety, security, environment, and quality. What do I need to qualify for the role? Minimum 3 years of experience in the Process Automation Industry or Industrial Plants, with hands-on knowledge of operations, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of automated systems. Ability to adjust and modify equipment in accordance with engineering changes and real on-site situations. Good understanding of Baggage Handling System (BHS) material flow. Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis and problem-solving methods. Experience in reviewing and assessing existing processes and identifying areas for improvement. Awareness and knowledge of quality and safety procedures. Good communication skills in English (mandatory). Must be an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certified Mechanical Technician. Ability to supervise and lead a small team of maintenance assistants. Experience working in multicultural environments, with the ability to adapt to diverse work ethics and practices.
