Planning Engineer

Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to oversee the project schedule and progress control for a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The ideal candidate will play a central role in programme analysis, progress verification, delay assessments, and alignment of the contractor's performance with the approved baseline. This position requires a candidate with at least 10 years of post-graduate experience, including 7 years in planning and controls on large infrastructure projects. Your role Review and analyze the contractor's baseline programme, updates, and revisions, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Monitor project progress against the approved schedule, identify delays and trends, and report deviations with recommended mitigation actions. Conduct independent delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments. Prepare and maintain supervision team's'internal monitoring tools including look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and critical path trackers. Participate in coordination meetings and present schedule updates, performance metrics, and recovery plans. Coordinate with discipline engineers to obtain timely input on progress, constraints, and resource allocation. Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and project gateway reviews in line with Ashghal's PMDS framework. Validate physical progress on site and correlate with programme updates submitted by the contractor. Develop and maintain reporting formats consistent with Ashghal's key performance indicators (KPIs). Assist the Resident Engineer and Client in contractual correspondence related to programme obligations.
