Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Job Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities * Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed HSE engineering analysis and design in line with design basis, project specifications, codes, and standards. * Prepare detailed design calculations, safety engineering reports, fire protection documents, technical procedures, and discipline deliverables. * Lead or support HSE engineering work areas to ensure delivery within approved schedule, budget, standards, and project procedures. * Plan discipline scope, deliverables, manpower requirements, progress tracking, productivity reporting, and corrective actions when assigned as Lead Engineer. * Interpret project scope, contractual requirements, specifications, schedule, inter-discipline needs, and engineering execution requirements. * Identify changes to scope, prepare supporting documentation, raise change notifications, and support variation order requirements. * Coordinate with engineering disciplines and other departments to obtain design input and support clash-free project layouts. * Prepare estimates for bid proposals, technical query reviews, execution statements, manhour estimates, and software requirements. * Prepare, review, and approve HSE design basis documents, fire protection philosophies, safety philosophies, technical specifications, and design reports. * Provide technical direction to designers working on fire protection and safety engineering deliverables. * Support procurement activities by preparing and reviewing requisitions, technical quotation evaluations, technical queries, bid tabulations, and purchase requisitions. * Review vendor and subcontractor submittals to confirm compliance with project specifications and provide technical comments. * Provide technical support for fabrication queries, including defect identification and rectification requirements. * Participate in project kickoff meetings, engineering reviews, vendor meetings, 3D model reviews, and discipline coordination sessions. * Perform design verification through single-discipline checks and inter-discipline checks. * Prepare and review safety equipment lists, firefighting equipment specifications, lifesaving equipment datasheets, personnel safety equipment datasheets, and safety sign layouts. * Prepare firewater demand and hydraulic calculation reports using PIPENET or equivalent software. * Provide inputs to P and ID markups for firewater ring main systems and deluge systems, including hose reels, monitors, hydrants, deluge valves, and nozzles. * Review escape route layouts, safety equipment layouts, safety sign specifications, and fire protection system layouts. * Review third-party safety study reports and ensure compliance with project requirements. * Participate in and coordinate safety workshops such as HAZID and HAZOP while supporting safety study consultants. * Prepare and approve safety study close-out reports and support closure of technical actions. * Lead discipline participation in internal, customer, and third-party technical audits and design reviews. * Capture lessons learned, support global procedures, maintain technical guidelines, and guide less experienced engineers. Ideal Profile * Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. * Strong experience in HSE engineering, fire protection engineering, safety design, FEED, detailed design, and oil and gas project execution. * In-depth knowledge of design HSE philosophies, fire protection systems, safety studies, firewater systems, deluge systems, escape routes, safety equipment, and technical safety deliverables. * Experience leading medium or large engineering teams and managing discipline scope, schedule, budget, manpower, and deliverables. * Ability to prepare and review safety study scope of work, specifications, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and purchase requisitions. * Familiarity with PIPENET or equivalent hydraulic calculation software. * Strong understanding of HAZID, HAZOP, safety workshops, third-party safety studies, technical audits, and design review requirements. * Able to communicate complex safety engineering concepts clearly to project teams, customers, certifying authorities, auditors, and third-party agencies. * Strong coordination skills across engineering, procurement, project management, planning, fabrication, vendors, subcontractors, and customer representatives. * Able to solve non-standard technical problems independently while maintaining cost, quality, schedule, and safety awareness. * Strong mentoring ability with the confidence to guide engineers on procedures, standards, calculations, technical queries, and bid evaluations.
