Job Details Country: UAE City: Dubai Industry: Oil and Energy Function: Production Engineering/Planning/Scheduling Salary: 12000-18000 monthly (Market estimated) Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Job Type: Full-time Role Context The Production Engineer Fabrication and Construction Systems - AWP Coordinator is responsible for connecting project engineering teams, fabrication yards, and construction systems to ensure smooth execution of production activities. This role supports schedule control, material coordination, constructability reviews, and workflow optimization while maintaining compliance with project specifications and fabrication standards. Key Responsibilities * Review project scope of work, specifications, schedules, and engineering deliverables to understand fabrication and construction requirements * Prepare scope of work documents and task listings for fabrication and production activities * Review fabrication schedules and provide corrections or improvement recommendations to planning teams * Check fabrication drawings for constructability and identify special material or subcontract requirements * Review monthly material reports and raise concerns related to delayed or missing deliveries * Review material requisitions before ordering and verify grades, quantities, and plate sizing assumptions * Initiate site queries to optimize use of available materials and approve practical substitutions where required * Provide field guidance and ensure all fabrication activities comply with company standards and project specifications * Attend production meetings and report technical concerns, risks, and execution challenges * Monitor scope changes, revision orders, and production updates affecting fabrication output * Report weekly fabrication progress and monitor production man-hours and productivity performance * Review four-week look-ahead plans and identify constraints related to materials and drawings * Coordinate with construction engineers to ensure procedures are issued on time and changes are clearly understood * Coordinate subcontract scope, yard material movements, and shop floor planning activities * Review as-built drawings and approve fabrication drawings and work pack deliverables according to project requirements Ideal Profile * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering * Minimum 3 years of experience in oil and gas projects with major contractors or consultants * Strong knowledge of fabrication systems, construction planning, and EPC project workflows * Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC, and AWS standards * Good understanding of material control, fabrication sequencing, and field coordination * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for production challenges * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced project environments Skills Set * Fabrication planning and coordination * Advanced Work Packaging support * Production engineering and scheduling * Material control and requisition review * Constructability analysis * API RP2A, AISC, and AWS standards * Work pack management * Fabrication drawing review * Progress reporting and productivity tracking * Yard logistics and material movement coordination * Cross-functional EPC project support Why Join Us * Opportunity to support major fabrication and construction execution for global energy infrastructure projects * Work with one of the world's most recognized engineering and EPCI organizations * Strong career growth in production engineering and construction systems management * Exposure to complex offshore and onshore fabrication environments * Be part of projects driving industrial growth and global energy transition About the Company McDermott International is a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction, and installation solutions for the energy industry.
