Role overview
Job Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years of proven cash handling, tellering, or frontline customer service experience within the UAE banking or financial exchange sector. Strong foundational knowledge of Islamic banking principles (e.g., Murabaha, Mudarabah, Wakala) to effectively communicate product benefits to retail clients. Flawless ability to process local Central Bank transfers and WPS (Wage Protection System) salary clearances without data entry errors. Exceptional verbal communication skills in English; active fluency in Arabic is highly prioritized to serve the local Emirati and Arab expat demographic. Responsibilities: Execute high-volume daily cash deposits, withdrawals, and internal fund transfers for both individual retail and corporate business accounts. Verify strict KYC (Know Your Customer) documents, ensuring Emirates IDs, trade licenses, and passports match exactly before unblocking restricted accounts. Handle frustrated clients daily, professionally de-escalating arguments over rejected personal finance applications or delayed international remittances. Cross-sell Al Islami credit cards, personal finance, and Takaful insurance products to walk-in customers to actively contribute to monthly branch targets.
