Sales Associate/Cashier

Job Summary We are looking for a responsible, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to independently manage day-to-day retail store operations. The role involves handling sales, cashiering, customer service, merchandising, inventory coordination, store cleanliness, and overall store upkeep. As the sole staff member in the store, the candidate should be proactive, organized, trustworthy, and capable of multitasking while ensuring an excellent shopping experience for customers. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products Drive sales by promoting ongoing offers, bundles, and new arrivals Maintain strong product knowledge across clothing, accessories, toys, stationery, footwear, and related categories Handle customer queries, complaints, and exchange requests professionally Build positive customer relationships to encourage repeat visits Cashiering & Billing Operate POS system and process customer transactions accurately Handle cash, card, and online payment transactions Ensure proper opening and closing cash balance procedures Issue invoices, receipts, and maintain billing accuracy Prepare daily sales reports and cash reconciliation Coordinate with management regarding sales collections and deposits Store Operations Open and close the store independently Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times Arrange products on shelves and displays as per merchandising standards Replenish stock and maintain proper product tagging and pricing Monitor fast-moving and low-stock items and inform management Conduct regular stock counts and assist in inventory management Receive, check, and organize incoming stock deliveries Ensure proper storage and handling of products Visual Merchandising Maintain attractive product displays and window presentation Ensure products are neatly folded, hung, and arranged Support seasonal and promotional display setups Keep displays fresh and customer-friendly Online & Customer Coordination Assist with WhatsApp, Instagram, and online customer inquiries when required Coordinate basic packing of customer orders if needed Share customer feedback and market observations with management Administration & Reporting Maintain daily records of sales, stock movement, and customer feedback Report operational issues, maintenance needs, or inventory concerns Support basic documentation and store administration activities Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Requirements Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling Good communication skills in English (Arabic/Hindi is an advantage) Friendly, presentable, and customer-oriented personality Ability to multitask and work independently Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented Basic computer and mobile application knowledge Flexible to work weekends and retail shift timings Preferred Experience Experience in kidswear, fashion retail, toys, accessories, or lifestyle retail stores Familiarity with inventory handling and merchandising Experience managing a store independently is an advantage Key Skills Sales & Upselling Cashiering Customer Service Inventory Management Store Operations Visual Merchandising Communication Skills Problem Solving Time Management Team Coordination Performance Expectations Achieve monthly sales targets Maintain high customer satisfaction Ensure accurate cash handling and reporting Keep store operations smooth and organized Maintain excellent store presentation standards Job Type: Full-time Pay: From AED2,500.00 per month Experience: Cashier: 1 year (Required) Customer Handling: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
