About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Sales Supervisor – Modern Trade to oversee field sales operations and drive execution excellence across key retail chains and store networks. This role is responsible for supervising sales representatives and merchandisers, ensuring strong in-store execution, achieving sales targets, and maintaining excellent relationships with retail partners. The ideal candidate has solid experience in modern trade FMCG sales , strong leadership abilities, and a hands-on approach to retail execution and team management. Key Responsibilities: Sales Team Supervision & Performance Supervise and support the daily activities of: sales representatives merchandisers field execution teams Ensure achievement of: sales targets distribution targets visibility objectives Monitor team productivity and field performance. Conduct regular market visits and route follow-ups with the team. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to field staff. Modern Trade Account Execution Oversee execution across modern trade accounts including: Carrefour Lulu Union Coop Spinneys Choithrams Grandiose and other retail chains. Ensure strong shelf presence, product availability, and display execution. Coordinate with store managers and department supervisors to resolve operational issues. Support implementation of new product launches and promotional activities. Promotions & Retail Visibility Ensure proper execution of: promotions secondary displays gondola features seasonal activations Monitor promo compliance and pricing accuracy in stores. Coordinate with Trade Marketing and Key Account teams on campaign rollouts. Ensure POS materials are installed correctly and maintained. Stock & Availability Management Monitor stock movement and identify risks of: out-of-stock situations overstock slow-moving items Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain teams for replenishment needs. Ensure FIFO implementation and expiry monitoring for food products. Reporting & Market Intelligence Prepare daily and weekly sales and execution reports. Track competitor activities including: promotions pricing new launches display activities Report market insights and store feedback to management. Monitor KPI achievement and recommend improvement actions. Retail Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with: buyers category teams store management retail operations teams Support escalation handling and operational issue resolution. Represent the company professionally in all retailer interactions. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field . 4–7 years experience in FMCG modern trade sales or field supervision. Strong understanding of: retail execution merchandising modern trade operations promotional cycles Previous experience managing field sales teams. Strong leadership and communication skills. Good reporting and analytical abilities. Proficient in Excel and reporting systems. Valid UAE driving license preferred. Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
