Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial and cost management of major construction projects, from pre-contract stages through project completion. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans and project budgets • Prepare, review and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs • Conduct cost analysis and evaluate project expenditures against approved budgets • Manage the valuation of works, interim payments and final accounts • Review and assess variations, change orders, claims and contractual notices • Support tendering and procurement activities, including the evaluation of bids and subcontractor proposals • Negotiate and manage commercial aspects with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers • Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management • Identify commercial and financial risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project commercial procedures • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement and Finance teams throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or Commercial Management • Proven experience on large-scale construction projects • Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, BOQ preparation, tendering and procurement • Solid experience with contract administration, variations, claims and final accounts • Good understanding of FIDIC and other standard forms of construction contracts • Experience working with contractors and/or consultancy companies is highly preferred • Proficiency in relevant cost management and quantity surveying software • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills • Professional working proficiency in English

Requirements
