System Administrator - Dubai, UAE Role Summary The System Administrator will be responsible for administering and monitoring on-premises and cloud-based servers, ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance. The role involves managing Active Directory, enterprise applications, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure while supporting business operations with efficient IT services. Location: United Arab Emirates Location: Dubai Industry: Information Technology (IT) Function: Systems Administration Salary: 15000-21000 monthly (Market estimated) Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Candidate Preferred Location: Any Job Type: Full-time What You'll Do * Administer and monitor Windows/Linux servers, both on-premises and cloud-based. * Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user accounts. * Maintain and oversee network devices including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs. * Implement security best practices covering patch management, backups, and disaster recovery. * Maintain IT hardware inventory and manage lifecycle of IT assets. * Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform necessary tuning. * Install, configure, and support enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and Exchange. * Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and procurement. * Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and document solutions. * Prepare and maintain IT documentation including SOPs, network diagrams, and configuration guides. * Assist with IT audits and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR. Ideal Profile * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * 3-5 years of experience in IT system administration. * Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, and networking protocols. * Experience in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). * Familiarity with security tools (endpoint protection, SIEM, MFA, backup). * Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. * Preferred certifications: MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network , Azure Administrator, RHCSA. * Additional skills in automation (PowerShell/Bash), monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds), and ITIL frameworks are desirable.
