JOB TITLE: Consultant Anesthesiologist LOCATION: UAE EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time SECTOR: Healthcare / Hospital / Medical Group

ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its advanced operating theatre, perioperative medicine and acute pain services and is seeking an experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join its clinical team. The role offers an opportunity for an internationally trained anesthesiologist to work within a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive anaesthetic and perioperative care while working closely with multidisciplinary surgical and critical care teams.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern operating theatre and diagnostic facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide consultant-level anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic assessments, risk stratification and perioperative optimisation for patients, including those with complex medical conditions.
• Provide general, regional, neuraxial and monitored anaesthesia care according to clinical expertise and facility protocols.
• Manage airway emergencies, postoperative recovery, acute pain and perioperative complications.
• Work closely with surgeons, intensivists, nurses and operating theatre teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Participate in perioperative planning and multidisciplinary discussions for complex surgical cases.
• Contribute to clinical governance, morbidity and mortality reviews, audits and quality improvement initiatives within anaesthesia and operating theatre services.

Requirements

Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Anesthesiologists holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:

• American Board of Anesthesiology
• UK CCT / FRCA
• European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care
• Royal College Certification, Canada
• Australian FANZCA
• Arab Board
• MD / DNB / FCPS or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, India, the Middle East, Africa and South America may be considered, subject to eligibility for UAE medical licensing and the healthcare facility's credentialing requirements.
