About Company

CodeNinja is a full-stack Sovereign AI delivery company helping Saudi enterprises and government entities build, own, and compound AI and engineering capability permanently — rather than renting it through vendor contracts. Operating from Riyadh with delivery capability across the Kingdom and the broader MENA region, CodeNinja works across priority sectors including government digitization, energy, financial services, logistics, and healthcare, and is recognized among the 100 fastest-growing technology companies of 2026 by Clutch. Through embedded engineering teams, AI capability centers, and owned application infrastructure, CodeNinja partners with banks and enterprises to modernize systems and operationalize intelligence across mission-critical workflows.

About Role

We're looking for an Appian Technical Lead / Solution Architect to own the end-to-end solution design and technical delivery of Appian applications for a leading bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will lead a team of Appian developers, integration engineers and QA, and act as the design authority for the Appian platform. This is an onsite role in Riyadh, open to all nationalities, requiring deep hands-on Appian experience in a banking or regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements (onboarding, lending, trade finance, complaints, KYC/AML case management) into Appian solution architecture: data model, process design, security model and integration patterns
  • Act as Appian design authority: set coding standards, reusable component libraries, naming conventions and design review gates
  • Define the deployment architecture with infrastructure and security teams, covering self-managed or Appian Cloud, HA/DR, environments and sizing
  • Design integration patterns with core banking, CRM, document management, ESB/API gateway and identity providers (SAML/OIDC, LDAP/AD)
  • Lead estimation, sprint planning and the technical backlog; provide input to presales and RFP responses
  • Own non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, audit logging, data retention and segregation of duties
  • Run code reviews, Appian Health Check remediation and production-readiness sign-off
  • Represent the platform in architecture review boards, security assessments and internal/external audits
  • Coach and grow the Appian team; drive adoption of new platform features (Data Fabric, Process HQ, AI Skills)

Requirements

Requirements

  • 12+ years of total experience, including 7+ years hands-on with Appian
  • At least 3 years in an Appian lead or architect role
  • Appian Certified Lead Developer (mandatory)
  • Notice period of 1 month, or immediate joiners preferred

Must Haves

  • Deep expertise across Appian process models, records, interfaces (SAIL), expression rules, Data Fabric and security groups
  • Solution architecture for enterprise BPM/low-code in a bank or regulated institution
  • Integration design: REST/SOAP, Connected Systems, Web APIs, messaging (Kafka/MQ) and file-based integrations
  • Strong RDBMS knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MariaDB)
  • Appian deployment, DevOps and release management (compare-and-deploy, CI/CD, version control)
  • Awareness of banking regulation and controls (SAMA, NCA ECC, PDPL)
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • TOGAF or a cloud architecture certification
  • Java plug-in development
  • Appian RPA
  • Saudi banking project experience
  • Arabic/RTL interface delivery
