Construction Manager
Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the site execution of a high-rise building project in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction activities, site teams and subcontractors while ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and in accordance with the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Manage daily construction activities from mobilisation through completion and handover.
- Lead site engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and workforce.
- Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Monitor progress against the approved programme and implement recovery plans when required.
- Coordinate structural, architectural, façade, fit-out and MEP works.
- Manage manpower, materials, equipment and site logistics efficiently.
- Resolve construction, technical and coordination issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality and safety compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, authorities and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and project quality requirements.
- Prepare regular progress, risk and performance reports for senior management.
Qualification and Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of construction experience.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on major high-rise building projects.
- UAE or GCC construction experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, planning and site management.
- Experience managing projects from structural works through finishing and handover.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead large multicultural teams and multiple subcontractors.
