About the Role
A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its general, laparoscopic and emergency surgical services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon to join its growing clinical team. The role offers internationally trained clinicians the opportunity to work in a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment with strong clinical exposure and a diverse international patient population.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage elective and emergency general surgery patients.
- Perform open and laparoscopic procedures according to specialty scope and facility privileges.
- Provide perioperative care, complication management, ward rounds and outpatient follow-up.
- Collaborate with anaesthesia, ICU, radiology, gastroenterology, oncology and emergency teams.
- Contribute to surgical pathways, theatre efficiency, infection prevention and patient safety programs.
- Maintain accurate consent forms, operative notes, discharge summaries and clinical documentation.
Requirements

- American Board of Surgery
- UK CCT / FRCS General Surgery
- European Board or recognised national specialist certification
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian FRACS
- Arab Board
- MS / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
