Financial Data Analyst

Job Title: Financial Data Analyst Department: Finance – Reporting & Control Reports To: Director of Finance Location: Dubai, UAE Role Purpose The Financial Data Analyst will support the Director of Finance and the Finance Reporting team by developing reliable financial data, dashboards, analytical reports, and automated reporting tools across multiple Group entities. The role will also support audit and financial control activities by improving the accuracy, reconciliation, traceability, and accessibility of financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract financial and operational information from Oracle Fusion and other systems.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and management reports.
• Prepare Group, entity, project, and department-level analytical reports.
• Develop automated reports covering revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, receivables, payables, and budget performance.
• Support monthly closing by identifying incomplete, unusual, or inconsistent financial data.
• Perform financial data reconciliations between Oracle Fusion and management reports.
• Support the Financial Controller in monitoring reporting and closing status across multiple entities.
• Prepare analytical reports to support external and internal audit requirements.
• Assist with audit data extraction, sampling, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain structured databases and financial reporting models.
• Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Identify trends, exceptions, anomalies, and significant financial variances.
• Develop entity-level and Group-level KPI dashboards.
• Support the preparation of CEO, management, Board, and Finance reporting packs.
• Assist with revenue analysis, project profitability, cost analysis, and margin reporting.
• Automate recurring Finance reports to reduce manual processing.
• Work with Finance and system teams to improve financial master data and reporting structures.
• Assist in developing reporting controls to identify missing or incorrectly classified transactions.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by Finance management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, management reporting, or a similar role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong Power BI experience is preferred.
• SQL or other data extraction knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or a similar ERP system is preferred.
• Good understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts.
