Specialist / Consultant Periodontist - American Board

We are seeking an experienced Periodontist with an American Board qualification to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized periodontal care, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive periodontal examinations and assessments.
• Diagnose and manage periodontal and peri-implant diseases.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' clinical needs.
• Perform non-surgical and surgical periodontal procedures.
• Perform periodontal surgeries, including flap procedures and soft-tissue grafting where appropriate.
• Provide implant-related periodontal assessment and management.
• Manage complex periodontal cases in coordination with other dental specialists.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal disease prevention, and long-term maintenance.
• Provide appropriate post-operative care and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records.
• Ensure compliance with infection-control, patient-safety, and UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior dental staff where required.

Requirements

• American Board Certification in Periodontics or recognized equivalent.
• Valid professional registration in the country of practice.
• Relevant clinical experience in Periodontics.
• Strong expertise in surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatment.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
• Eligible for UAE dental licensing, subject to the relevant health authority's assessment.
