Housekeeping Manager

  • 05Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • 06Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • 07Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • 08Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
  • 09Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
  • 10Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • 11Dust and polish furniture and equipment.

  • Verifies guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inspects guestrooms on a daily basis.
  • Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check
  • outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
  • Inventories stock to verify adequate supplies.
  • Supports and supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space.
  • Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
