Chartered Accountant — UAE Accounting & Tax
Role overview
As a Chartered Accountant at AI Muhaseb, you own the numbers for a portfolio of UAE clients — from clean, IFRS double-entry books to VAT returns and Corporate Tax computations. You work hand-in-hand with our software and AI assistant, using them to move faster while applying the professional judgement that only a qualified accountant can. You will also help shape how the product handles real UAE accounting and compliance.
Responsibilities
Own monthly bookkeeping and close for a portfolio of UAE clients, ensuring IFRS-compliant, reconciled books Prepare and review VAT returns (VAT 201) and manage FTA filing timelines Produce financial statements and management reports, and explain them to clients Review work of junior accountants and maintain quality and documentation standards Act as a trusted point of contact for clients on accounting and tax questions Feed real-world accounting and compliance requirements back into the product team
Requirements
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / ACA / CPA or equivalent) 3+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on UAE accounting experience Practical experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax Strong working knowledge of IFRS and double-entry bookkeeping Excellent attention to detail and comfort owning client relationships Fluent English; based in or willing to relocate to the UAE
Preferred qualifications
