PeopleCert is the certification body and now uses the names PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation Version 7 and PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner Version 7. Candidates should use the current names when comparing courses or exam products because older pages may still use previous branding.

Foundation is the entry point and checks understanding of the method's principles, practices, processes, roles, and terminology. Practitioner focuses on applying and tailoring the method to a project scenario. The appropriate level depends on whether a candidate needs foundational knowledge or evidence that they can apply the framework. Training providers may bundle learning materials, instruction, and an exam voucher, so prices are not uniform.

PeopleCert's current certification policy says relevant certifications must be renewed within three years to remain current. Renewal routes include retaking the same exam, earning another certification in the same product suite, or recording continuing professional development through the applicable PeopleCert program. Candidates should verify the policy that applies to their certification date and account.
