Quantity Surveyor

Key responsibilities
  • 01Monitor project costs and variations
  • 02ups for cost estimates. Review, endorse, or reject contractor invoices and claims based on detailed cost evaluation and assessment. Authorise Contract Request Documents to initiate tender processes.
  • 03Production of cost estimates at concept, scheme and detailed design stage
  • 04Manage the tender process, review and analyze tender returns and prepare a recommendation to the Project Manager
  • 05Work on shop drawings for the project and review the details under the supervision of the PM
  • 06Evaluate Subcontractor/Contractor shop drawings against the approved drawings
  • 07As primary project cost controller, ensure that the project remains on budget through the design and construction phases
  • 08Liaise with the separate contract admin team to ensure a reliable handover of pre
  • 09contract documentation and be available to respond to future queries as needed
  • 10Assess and value progress payments and change requests
  • 11Review and compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data
  • 12Prepare, review, and update cash
Preferred qualifications

  • — Professional certifications in quantity surveying or cost management are an advantage
  • — Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage
