How to check your CV
Paste your CV or upload a supported file. Check that the extracted text includes your experience and skills.
Choose a target role if you want a comparison with the skills in our role catalogue.
Run the check, review the highest-priority suggestions, and make changes that reflect your real experience.
A practical example
For example, “Handled customer queries” describes a task. If your records support it, “Resolved 30 customer queries a day” adds useful context. Never add a number you cannot substantiate.
How to read the result
The checker assesses extracted text for structure, content, role keywords and readability. It cannot inspect the original page layout reliably or reproduce every employer’s applicant tracking system. Scores are guidance, not a hiring decision.
Questions before you start
What does an ATS CV checker assess?
It looks for readable structure, recognisable sections and relevant skills in your CV text. Each employer uses its own systems and criteria, so no score can guarantee acceptance.
Which files can I upload?
PDF, DOCX and TXT files up to 10 MB are supported. If a scanned file produces no readable text, paste the text instead. The analysis accepts up to 12,000 characters.
Do I need to choose a target role?
No. A target role adds a skills comparison against our catalogue. Without one, you still receive a general assessment and suggested improvements.
Where does my CV text go?
File text is extracted in your browser. When you run the check, that text is sent to our analysis service. Remove contact details or other information you do not want to include.
