Director of Engineering

- 01Organize and set up preventive maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works
- 02Advise the General Manager and the Corporate Vice President
- 03Engineering and Technical Services of any problems at all times
- 04Supervise maintenance employees and contract employees who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations
- 05Oversee the general maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and report any major defects
- 06Ensure that all administration files are kept up to date including drawing prints, specifications and equipment, technical maintenance manuals, etc.
- 07Recommend and evaluate energy conservation programmes and ensure they are carried out as well as investigate the wastage
- 08Drive Delivery and Alignment
- 09to own delivery of entire work
- 10streams, ensuring architecture and engineering decisions align with both immediate requirements and business strategy.
- 11Balance Code and Leadership

- — High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC
- — R/Electrical/Plumbing. OR
- — R/Electrical/Plumbing. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets
- — Works with property and regional engineering leadership team to determine how Engineering is performing against budget and highlights areas of concern to leadership.
- — Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems for the units in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- — Administers service contracts to support property needs.
- — Ensures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment and alarms.
