Director of Engineering

Assemble and operate equipment to record, synchronize, mix, edit, or reproduce sound, including music, voices, or sound effects, for theater, video, film, television, podcasts, sporting events, and other productions. Key responsibilities
  • 01Organize and set up preventive maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works
  • 02Advise the General Manager and the Corporate Vice President
  • 03Engineering and Technical Services of any problems at all times
  • 04Supervise maintenance employees and contract employees who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations
  • 05Oversee the general maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and report any major defects
  • 06Ensure that all administration files are kept up to date including drawing prints, specifications and equipment, technical maintenance manuals, etc.
  • 07Recommend and evaluate energy conservation programmes and ensure they are carried out as well as investigate the wastage
  • 08Drive Delivery and Alignment

Required qualifications
  • — . Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
  • — High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC
  • — R/Electrical/Plumbing. OR
  • — R/Electrical/Plumbing. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets
  • — Works with property and regional engineering leadership team to determine how Engineering is performing against budget and highlights areas of concern to leadership.
  • — Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems for the units in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • — Administers service contracts to support property needs.
  • — Ensures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment and alarms.
Preferred qualifications
  • — Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
  • — Advanced proficiency in Rust; working knowledge of Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and Python is an advantage
