- 01Educational Background and Experience
- 02Medication Dispensing:
- 03Accurately review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications, ensuring correct dosage, labeling, and legal compliance.
- 04Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, interactions, and proper storage.
- 05Monitor patient drug therapies to ensure safety, efficacy, and to prevent harmful drug interactions.
- 06Work with doctors and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans.
- 07Operational Management:
- 08Maintain inventory, stock medication, and oversee pharmacy technicians.
- 09Adhere to all federal and state laws, including those regulating controlled substances.
- 10Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 11A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- 12required licensure, typically requiring passing exams (e.g., NAPLEX and law exams).
