Position Overview A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Intensive Care Specialist with Australian Board qualification to join its critical care team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients and contribute to high standards of intensive care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level care to critically ill and high-dependency patients.
- Manage complex medical and surgical intensive care cases.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized critical care plans.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, sepsis, multi-organ failure, and other critical conditions.
- Perform and supervise appropriate invasive and non-invasive critical care procedures.
- Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, and other specialties.
- Participate in rapid response, resuscitation, and emergency management.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding treatment plans and clinical progress.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, teaching, audit, research, and quality-improvement activities.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Australian Board/Fellowship qualification in Intensive Care Medicine , such as FCICM or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Relevant consultant-level clinical experience.
- Current specialist registration and good professional standing.
- Experience in a tertiary-care or academic hospital is preferred.
- Eligible for DOH/DHA medical licensing , depending on the location.
- Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
