Key responsibilities
  • 01as directed by the Financial Planning & Reporting Manager.
  • 02Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in finance, such as derivative valuation, securities trading, risk management, or financial market regulation.
  • 03Research or develop analytical tools to address issues such as portfolio construction or optimization, performance measurement, attribution, profit and loss measurement, or pricing models.
  • 04Interpret results of financial analysis procedures.
  • 05Develop core analytical capabilities or model libraries, using advanced statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques.
  • 06Define or recommend model specifications or data collection methods.
  • 07Produce written summary reports of financial research results.
  • 08Maintain or modify all financial analytic models in use.
  • 09Provide application or analytical support to researchers or traders on issues such as valuations or data.
  • 10Devise or apply independent models or tools to help verify results of analytical systems.
  • 11Collaborate in the development or testing of new analytical software to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications, or scope.
  • 12Confer with other financial engineers or analysts on trading strategies, market dynamics, or trading system performance to inform development of quantitative techniques.
Required qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance with professional certifications from reputed professional bodies such as CFA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA etc. is essential.
  • , Experience and Job Skills Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or any related field
  • 10 years of related experience in a similar position with reputable MNC, preferably in a similar industry or Oil and Gas. Job Specific Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles and tools. (International Financial Reporting Standards), cost accounting and management reporting.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts and statistical/analytical methods and ability to use data effectively to develop, implement and manage operational plans and actions.
  • Advanced experience in using SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Experience working with organizational costing/allocation models to properly analyze the main driving factors of change and variances year over year.
Preferred qualifications
  • Specialized certificates are preferred, qualified or partly qualified e.g. ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA. Experience:
