Chief Accountant

Determine and formulate policies and provide overall direction of companies or private and public sector organizations within guidelines set up by a board of directors or similar governing body. In the GCC market, this role is actively hired across bahrain, kuwait, oman with 25 recent postings.

Key responsibilities
  • 01Verify the General Cashier’s report, Income journal voucher and review supplier invoices, as well as general ledger coding of expenses
  • 02Verify supplier payments with supporting invoices, LPOs, etc. and expense reimbursement with supporting documents
  • 03Review payroll reports with supporting documents at the month end
  • 04Prepare general ledger reconciliation and follow up for the renewals of contracts expiring
  • 05Prepare, post and update standard journal vouchers and adjustment journal voucher entries at the month end
  • 06Review general ledger at month end and analyze expenses and major variations from the budget
  • 07Ensure that all accounting reports and job deadlines for other employees are met
  • 08⁠Oversee all accounting activities for the Retail and F&B division, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and fixed assets
  • 09Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • 10Ensure timely and accurate month
  • 11end closing processes
  • 12Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide actionable financial insights to management
Required qualifications
  • 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3
  • Proven experience in accounting within large, high

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, and compliance
  • Experience in regulated or government/semi
  • Pay: QAR18,000.00
  • QAR20,000.00 per month
