Medical Technologist

Assist ophthalmologists by performing ophthalmic clinical functions and ophthalmic photography. In the GCC market, this role is actively hired across qatar with 3 recent postings.

  • 01: If needed, collect blood and other specimens (using aseptic technique) required for laboratory testing from in
  • 02Perform aseptic tissue processing and stem cell culture in GMP cleanroom settings Conduct flow cytometry, viability testing, cell sub
  • 03Conduct tonometry or tonography tests to measure intraocular pressure.
  • 04Take and document patients' medical histories.
  • 05Take anatomical or functional ocular measurements, such as axial length measurements, of the eye or surrounding tissue.
  • 06Measure visual acuity, including near, distance, pinhole, or dynamic visual acuity, using appropriate tests.
  • 07Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
  • 08Measure and record lens power, using lensometers.
  • 09Calculate corrections for refractive errors.
  • 10Collect ophthalmic measurements or other diagnostic information, using ultrasound equipment, such as A-scan ultrasound biometry or B-scan ultrasonography equipment.
  • 11Perform ophthalmic triage, in the office or by phone, to assess severity of patients' conditions.
  • 12Clean or sterilize ophthalmic or surgical instruments.
