Quality Controller

Key responsibilities
  • 01Monitor food safety and quality standards across meat processing, frozen storage, and retail outlets
  • 02Conduct quality inspections of raw meat, frozen products, and finished goods
  • 03Ensure cold chain compliance for chillers, freezers, transport, and display units
  • 04Verify temperature records, hygiene practices, sanitation schedules, and pest control logs
  • 05Implement and monitor HACCP systems and prerequisite programs (GMP, GHP, SSOP)
  • 06conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • 07Maintain traceability systems, batch records, expiry control, and recall preparedness
  • 08Coordinate with operations teams during municipality and authority inspections
  • 09Conduct food safety and hygiene training for staff
  • 10related customer complaints and investigations
  • 11Education & Qualifications
  • 12Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Technology, Microbiology, or Food Technology
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Technology, Microbiology, or Food Technology
  • HACCP Certification
  • Food Safety Level 3 or Level 4
  • ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 (Awareness or Internal Auditor)
  • GMP / GHP Certification
  • Experience Requirements
  • 5 years of QC/QA experience in meat, poultry, frozen food, slaughterhouse, cold storage, or food retail
  • on experience with cold chain management, hygiene audits, and regulatory inspections
Preferred qualifications
  • Diploma in Food Safety or Quality Management is an added advantage
  • Certifications (Required / Preferred)

  • Familiarity with Oman Municipality and food safety authority requirements is a strong advantage
