Travel Consultant

- 01Handle domestic and international air ticket reservations, reissues, and cancellations.
- 02Coordinate with airlines to secure best fares and routes.
- 03Provide accurate information on flight schedules, fare rules, and travel
- 04Collect payment for transportation and accommodations from customer.
- 05Plan, describe, arrange, and sell itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers.
- 06Converse with customer to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
- 07Compute cost of travel and accommodations, using calculator, computer, carrier tariff books, and hotel rate books, or quote package tour's costs.
- 08Record and maintain information on clients, vendors, and travel packages.
- 09Book transportation and hotel reservations, using computer or telephone.
- 10Print or request transportation carrier tickets, using computer printer system or system link to travel carrier.
- 11Provide customer with brochures and publications containing travel information, such as local customs, points of interest, or foreign country regulations.
- — Ensure timely issuance of tickets and maintain high standards of customer service. Skills Ideal Skill Sets:
- — Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with an IATA Travel Agency.
- — Sound knowledge of fare construction, reissues and refunds.
- — GDS experience required
- — Amadeus/Galileo.
- — Hands on experience on NDC systems.
- — IATA Certification.
- — Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
