Key responsibilities
- 01Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital Sharjah (UHS)
- 02Complies with all the UHS policies, procedures and fire regulations
- 03Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation Program to assist UHS to attain and maintain international accreditation standards.
- 04Maintains a safe, clean environment using approved infection control practices.
- 05Implementing the daily clerical planning at the assigned ward level.
- 06Communicate effectively and promote a supportive team approach within the ward/unit to ensure good working relationship.
- 07Accept telephone calls, triage and transfer messages and enquiries of a clinical nature to medical, nursing and other allied health staff.
- 08Maintain patient record and information per the health information system including movements, episode care provider, book appointments for the inpatient, Scan documents and medical reports.
- 09Maintain patient record including completion of the final discharge summary.
- 10Arrange transfers/discharges of patients with the admissions officer
- 11Liaise with admission office regarding the availability of beds.
Required qualifications
- : Diploma or bachelor degree /Admin or health care related
- : Previous experience/training in clerical/reception duties
- : Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- : Demonstrated ability to use computer keyboards and printers.
- : Proficient in verbal and written Arabic/English
- : Previous clerical experience within the health care industry.
- : Demonstrated knowledge of a computerized patient care system.
- : Understating of basic medical terminology
