Key responsibilities

  • 01Review and approval of the Contractor’s proposed materials and method statements as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
  • 02Attend factory visits, suppliers plant inspection as required
  • 03Follow up testing (Laboratoty witness) and approvals from the relevant authorities
  • 04Review of Contractor’s testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
  • 05Review and Approval of the Contractor’s Submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
  • 06Monitoring the performance of the material delivery and accuracy of materials used at site
  • 07Coordination with Contractor’s Quality personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
  • 08Monitoring conformance with the Contractor’s schedule.
  • 09Continuous Field Inspections of the work in the progress and consultation with both the Resident Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervisory staff.
  • 10Preparation of written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.
  • 11Assist Assistant Resident Engineer and Resident Engineer in the preparation of any correspondence in compliance with the contract documents.
  • 12Where site problems are found, work with the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer to resolve them promptly.

Required qualifications

  • : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • : Proficiency with computer
  • : aided design (CAD) software
  • : Specific Skills Required
  • : Well experienced in the construction of bridge structures, earthworks and road works.
  • : Experience in working on infrastructure projects on civil engineering elements
  • : Proven work experience as a Material Engineer or similar role
  • : Should have knowledge of design mixes for concrete and asphalt

Preferred qualifications

  • : Middle East experience preferred
