Key responsibilities
- 01Review and approval of the Contractor’s proposed materials and method statements as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
- 02Attend factory visits, suppliers plant inspection as required
- 03Follow up testing (Laboratoty witness) and approvals from the relevant authorities
- 04Review of Contractor’s testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
- 05Review and Approval of the Contractor’s Submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
- 06Monitoring the performance of the material delivery and accuracy of materials used at site
- 07Coordination with Contractor’s Quality personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
- 08Monitoring conformance with the Contractor’s schedule.
- 09Continuous Field Inspections of the work in the progress and consultation with both the Resident Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervisory staff.
- 10Preparation of written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.
- 11Assist Assistant Resident Engineer and Resident Engineer in the preparation of any correspondence in compliance with the contract documents.
- 12Where site problems are found, work with the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer to resolve them promptly.
Required qualifications
- : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- : Proficiency with computer
- : aided design (CAD) software
- : Specific Skills Required
- : Well experienced in the construction of bridge structures, earthworks and road works.
- : Experience in working on infrastructure projects on civil engineering elements
- : Proven work experience as a Material Engineer or similar role
- : Should have knowledge of design mixes for concrete and asphalt
