Systems Administrator I

Key responsibilities
  • 01Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts as necessary.
  • 02Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and SIPR
  • 03Management of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • 04Utilize vSphere clients to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability.
  • 05Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability.
  • 06Maintains system hardening by following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • 07Utilize AESMP ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and or escalating to the next level of support.
  • 08Performs other duties and assignments as required
  • 09Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • 10Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • 11Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • 12Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.

  • Education / Certifications:
  • year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Associates Degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.
